The Best Wands in IdleOn, Ranked

Everyone’s sick of the grind these days, with most games focusing on tiring you out so you’ll pay to unlock the content you deserve. IdleOn is a different beast, as it’s a multiplayer game that respects your time by giving you options on how to progress while you’re not playing. An added bonus is that the deeper you get into the game, the more intriguing its mechanics become.

In IdleOn you create a main character and complete quests, but instead of having to fight the same monsters over and over again to progress, you can hire and specialize additional characters to do your dirty work while you’re gone. You even get to see them grow as they take on the responsibilities that would be on you in a normal game.

Since IdleOn is an RPG game, there’s an incredible amount and variety of loot to customize both your character and your minions. Wands are some of the most fun weapons you get to use in the game, and there’s no shortage of powerful wands to obtain.

So which ones are the best? We’ll rank what we consider the best wands in the game, so you can focus on killing monsters with all the magical might you want.

It’s easy to go for a sword, a spear, or a bow because they all represent a specific type of fighting style. But when it comes to those who like wizardry and magic – your weapon just has to be a wand. Fortunately, IdleOn has tons of them and we’re here to rank them today.

Please note that we’re not going to include items that are unobtainable at the moment.

9) Gnarled Wand

The Gnarled Wand is the first wand that you can get in IdleOn and it has very weak stats as you’d expect. But since it’s the only one that you can start with, it’s not really useless.

Like other weakest versions of a weapon type in IdleOn, you can equip the Gnarled Wand on any class whereas the better wands are limited to the Mage.

8) Quarterstaff

Quarterstaff is your first upgrade as a Mage and it’s not really that good. Weapon power increases by a fair bit, but it’s not a lot and the rest of the stats don’t improve much either.

The biggest drawback is certainly the 4 speed, which is somehow slightly less than the Gnarled Wand (which is 5).

7) Starlight

Starlight is the first decent upgrade that you can get, since it has 23 weapon power, 11 wisdom, 145 reach, 3 upgrade slots, and 1 agility.

Sadly, the speed is still slow – but since every other stat is decent, it’s not that much of a problem.

6) Crows Nest

Crows Nest is a massive upgrade to every single wand that comes before it. It has 5 speed, 30 weapon power, 5 agility, 9 wisdom (slightly lower than Starlight, but the other stats make up for it), and a whopping 160 reach.

But that’s not all, this wand comes with 3 upgrade slots and a bonus effect which is 5% movement speed. Not only is that great for being a wizard – but having such an increase in your movement speed is always a great advantage.

5) Spriggly Storm

Spriggly Storm isn’t a massive upgrade from Crows Nest, but it’s still a decent wand, nonetheless. It comes with 5 movement speed, 36 weapon damage, 15 wisdom, and 1 luck.

As for the bonus stat, you get 5% CRIT damage which is pretty decent. However, the reach is slightly lower for some reason by 5 numbers.

4) Grey Gatsby

The great- I mean Grey Gatsby is one of my favorite wands in IdleOn (for reasons other than the pun too). It increases the movement speed to 6, which is the fastest yet for wands that come before it. And the weapon power is 43, which is a considerable jump too.

Then we have 10 agility, 13 wisdom, 1 luck, amazing 170 range, and 5% CRIT damage – which all combines to be a great wand that everyone should try to use at some point.

3) Skullslip Hallow

First of all, Skullslip Hallow has such a cool design, it makes you feel like you’re an evil wizard like Saruman or Voldemort. And then we have its stats, which are amazing. Weapon power is 51, movement speed is 6, agility is 12, wisdom is 18, and reach is 195.

As for the bonus effect, we have 6% total damage, which is pretty decent.

2) Diabolical Opticule

The Diabolical Opticule is where the big leagues begin. It has 7 movement speed, which is fortunately pretty fast. The weapon power is 61, agility is 13, wisdom is 25, and the reach is unbelievably high, sitting at 250.

And the bonuses become dual too, which gives you 8% Mob Respawn and 6 total damage. When combined, this lets players mow down large mobs of enemies both when idle and when active.

This wand is only second to the Cattle Core Soothsayer Staff.

1) Cattle Core Soothsayer Staff

The Cattle Core Soothsayer Staff is the best staff in IdleOn that you can unlock. It has the highest stats, which include an incredibly quick 8 movement speed, huge 75 weapon damage, 20 agility, 35 wisdom, and a massive 275 range.

And the dual bonus effects include 12% total damage and 10% Mob Respawn too, which make a big difference and are not just randomly given passive effects.

Even if you wish to get rid of it, you end up getting Dementia Coins, Platinum Coins, Gold Coins, and Silver Coins in one go – which is great. Though we do recommend keeping it instead thanks to how useful it is.
