Project Zomboid: Top 10 Best Animals

The game has many different animals that you can find in the world.

Some of these animals are helpful to your character while others may be harmful or even deadly if they get too close to you!

10 )Pigs

Pigs are similar to cows in that they can be used for food and provide manure for crops. Additionally, pigs are relatively easy to care for and can be kept in small spaces. However, pigs require a lot of food and water, so you’ll need to be prepared to take care of them properly.

Pigs can be raised and bred by the player character, and once they reach maturity, they can be slaughtered for meat. Pigs also provide other resources such as leather and fat which can be used for crafting and cooking.

9) Squirrels

They are a relatively common animal in the game, and they can be found in most environments, including forests and urban areas. This means that players can easily find squirrels as a food source without having to travel too far.

Squirrels are a good source of protein and other nutrients that the player character needs to survive. In Project Zomboid, food is a crucial resource, and players must find ways to keep their hunger and thirst levels in check. Squirrels provide a nutritious source of food that can help players stay alive and healthy.

8) Raccoons

Raccoons are good at opening containers, which can be helpful if you need to get into a locked building. They are also good at finding food, which can be useful if you’re struggling to find supplies. Additionally, raccoons are relatively small and can be kept in small spaces.

Often overlooked as mere pests, raccoons are actually valuable creatures in the post-apocalyptic world of Project Zomboid.

Agile creatures with distinctive black masks around their eyes and a ringed tail. They are nocturnal animals, meaning they are active at night, which can be a useful trait in the game. Raccoons are also omnivores, meaning they eat both plants and animals, which makes them adaptable to different environments.

7) Deer

Hunting deer is a great way to get food. They are abundant in rural areas and have a high meat yield, which means you can eat well for days without having to worry about starving. The only downside is that they are relatively easy to kill, so you may find yourself with more than you need if your aim isn’t very good!

There are some drawbacks to hunting deer. The most obvious is that it can be dangerous, especially if you’re not careful. If a zombie sees you while you’re hunting and starts chasing after you, they may follow the trail of blood left by your kill and find their way to your home base.

6) Sheep

Sheep are a great source of wool and meat, which can be used to make clothing or cooked food. You’ll need to shear your sheep regularly so they don’t overgrow their fleece, but this is an easy task that only takes a few minutes per day.

Once you’ve got some wool on hand, you can craft it into clothing items like sweaters or hats at the tailor’s shop in town–or use it as raw material for crafting other things like bandages or ropes!

Sheep are also relatively low-maintenance compared to other farm animals like pigs or chickens: they don’t require any special housing arrangements (just feed them grass), don’t produce waste products like manure that need regular disposal (they eat grass instead), and won’t attack humans unless provoked (so long as no one gets too close).

5) Cows

You can find cows wandering around outside and they’ll be happy to come home with you if you feed them some grain or grass clippings from your farm. Once there, they’ll produce milk that can be used for cooking or making cheese (which is also delicious).

To acquire cows, you will need a cow pen, but this can be built by right-clicking on any grassy area and selecting “build pen”. It is recommended that you place the pen near your home or base of operations so that it’s easy to collect milk from the cows later on.

To acquire one of these, simply craft it using two sticks and some cloth (you’ll need an axe for this). You can also find them in abandoned houses throughout Project Zomboid.

Once you have all of these things set up, it’s time to start collecting milk from your new livestock!

4) Cats

Cats are not exactly great animals in Project Zomboid. In fact, they don’t have any significant benefits in the game. While you can find stray cats in the game, they don’t provide any resources like meat or milk as other animals do.

They also can’t be tamed or trained, so they won’t be able to help you in any way during the zombie apocalypse. The only action you can take with a cat is to pet it, which can give you a slight mood boost. However, this doesn’t have any significant impact on your gameplay experience.

3) Horses

Horses are valuable companions in Project Zomboid because they are fast and can carry a lot of weight. They also have natural defenses against zombies, which makes them useful for transporting items and getting around the map quickly.

Hey can be used as a means of transportation, and they can also be used as a source of food. In addition, horses have other uses that you may not have considered before.

Horses can be killed by zombies and other creatures, so you’ll need to keep an eye on them when you’re traveling with them. If your horse is killed, it will respawn at home base after 2 days (the same amount of time as for human characters).

You can also choose not to have a horse at all if this makes things too difficult for you!

2) Chickens

Chickens are great animals to have in Project Zomboid. They provide food, resources, and protection, and are relatively easy to take care of.

If you’re looking for a good source of food and don’t have a lot of space or resources to work with, consider adding chickens to your farm or settlement.

They are a good source of food, eggs, and feathers, which can be used for crafting. In addition, they are relatively easy to take care of and require less space than larger livestock animals like cows or horses.

1) Dogs

Dogs are one of the best animals in Project Zomboid because they are loyal, trainable, and great at fighting zombies. They can be taught to attack zombies, which can help keep you safe.

Additionally, dogs have a good sense of smell, which can help you find food, water, and other supplies. Once you’ve trained a dog, it will follow you wherever you go, making it an excellent companion in the zombie apocalypse.
