I finally got around to watching the Marvels after it was released on Disney+. Captain Marvel was a fun movie, and Ms Marvel has been one of my favourite shows recently released into the MCU.
So why didn’t I watch The Marvels previously? Honestly, phase 4 of the MCU has been “Decent” at best, no real reason for me to go out and pay when I can wait for the Disney+ release.
I’m glad I waited too…The Marvels was a fun film and I don’t regret watching it, but the pacing was a bit off, and a lot of substance was missing.
The main villain had an interesting backstory, I wanted to see more! How did she get her hammer? how did she find the bangle on the moon?
I have so many questions I’d love to be answered, and an extra 10-15 minutes of runtime could have provided all the answers I needed.
Ms Marvel was the star of the show, and certainly breathed a lot of life into what could have been a dull experience. Brie Larson was brilliant as always, and it was good to see her in fight scenes without her seeming too OP.
The official Gamecrag Score for this movie is a 6/10. But it could have been more with a higher runtime!
